Dozens of foul things happened here, published daily by the ever-increasing media. No wonder our sense of belonging to this country slips away, little by little.

What i`m bringing to you is just a simple fact, but many tend to forget it, as daily life problems getting the better of their attention. Indonesia is a home, a big one. As many things Indonesia failed to provide to its citizens, Indonesia cannot failed to be a home. I always believed that in every Indonesian that spent childhood in Indonesia, there is always reasons to call it home. So hit the play on this mixtape and scroll down.

1.	In My Life – The Beatles
Perhaps this is the best Beatles song to put on to somebody`s funeral. It reminded you of places and peoples you`ve encountered. “there are places i`ll remember, all my life though some have changed”, Mccartney opened the song. I couldn`t have find better song to open the mixtape other than this. It sets the mood for the entire mix.
2.	Our Roots – The Trees and The Wild
My friend told me about this indie band back in highschool. The Trees and The Wild made its way through Indonesian music scene with its first album “Rasuk” in 2009, and it gained them more and more admirer ever since. Our Roots are a recollection of folky guitar tunes mirroring a gamelan show. Their performance in this supercool bar perhaps the best version of this song out there on the net.
3.	Pulang – Float
This is a soundtrack from “3 Hari untuk Selamanya”, perhaps the first Indonesian road-trip movie. “Bawa aku pulang, rindu!” mused the vocalist. With its simple lyrics, you`ll find it hard not to remember home while listening to this one. And the catchy intro will hook you in for at least a week. To get the feel, perhaps you should watch this youtube video that puts New York busy street with this song in background.
4.	I Miss You but I Hate You – Slank
I believe we`ve come to the highlight of this mixtape. Even though this song is about a man`s regret on missing out to some girl, but I miss you but I hate you really symbolized our relations to our own “Ibu Pertiwi”. Perhaps a post-Reformation era kid that viewed its country just that. Just a must-have song in this mixtape.
5.	Malino – The Trees and The Wild
Indonesia is a maritime country, or so they said. This song always reminded me of sea, somehow. Watch this documentary and you`ll get it why.
6.	Desember – Efek Rumah Kaca
Indonesian people have a lot to say on rain. Either it brings romantic or melancholy feeling or frustrates people on the road. Efek Rumah Kaca is another critically-acclaimed Indonesian indie band which usually write songs that criticize social realties in Indonesia. “seperti pelangi, setia, menunggu hujan reda”, an implicit hope for a better Indonesia, perhaps?
7.	Mobil Balap – Naif
Mobil Balap by Naif represented another genre in Indonesia music scene. That retro-easy listening thing like many White Shoes and The Couple Companies (WSATCC) work. That “asoy-geboy di jalanan ibukota” line are somewhat a forgotten scene in Jakarta. These days traffic jam is getting the better of people in the capital city. Again, perhaps this song is one of many recollections of good old days before Indonesia`s financial crisis.
8.	Angin Pujaan Hujan – Payung Teduh
Payung Teduh entered Indonesia music scene with its self-titled album on 2010, Payung Teduh grows to be one of the hottest band in Jakarta`s indie scene right now. This song has a keroncong-like backsound that catches your ear right from the start. This band showcases another underrated side of Indonesian music these days.
9.	Kamu Harus Pulang – Slank
With “Kamu Harus Pulang”, we end our journey. Know your home, and preserve it. I hope you enjoyed the trip!

Mature persons in love help each other to be free; they help each other to destroy all sorts of bondages. And when love flows with freedom there is beauty. When love flows with dependence there is ugliness.

A mature person does not fall in love, he or she rises in love. Only immature people fall; they stumble and fall down in love. Somehow they were managing and standing. Now they cannot manage and they cannot stand. They were always ready to fall on the ground and to creep. They don’t have the backbone, the spine; they don’t have the integrity to stand alone.

A mature person has the integrity to stand alone. And when a mature person gives love, he or she gives without any strings attached to it. When two mature persons are in love, one of the great paradoxes of life happens, one of the most beautiful phenomena: they are together and yet tremendously alone. They are together so much that they are almost one. Two mature persons in love help each other to become more free. There is no politics involved, no diplomacy, no effort to dominate. Only freedom and love.”

- Osho (via electrichoney)

"Archaeologists have not yet discovered any stage of human existence without art. Nor have we managed to ask: Why was this gift given to us and what are we to do with it?
And all those prophets who are predicting that art is disintegrating, that it has used up all its forms, that it is dying, are mistaken. We are the ones who shall die. And art will remain.
